I’ve always loved Toyota trucks, but I’d never had the chance to actually drive one until now! I had the amazing opportunity to work with Southeast Toyota Distributors on their Choose Your Own Adventure Campaign, highlighting the unique, sporty features of their XSP packages for both Tundra & Tacoma.

During the campaign, I was able to drive the Tundra XSP for an entire week (thanks Toyota!) to check out the XSP features only available in the 5 Southeast states!

Take a look at my experience with Toyota’s Choose Your Own Adventure Campaign, including our Adventure Day at Barnsley Resort & some of the awesome features of the XSP package!

Truck Time!

To kick things off, Toyota generously dropped off my stunning new Tundra for a week of adventuring! I was so excited to have the truck all to myself, if only for just a week.

Here are some of the key features (including my favorites!) of the XSP package below:
  • A black powder coated laser-cut grille (this really added to the rugged look of the truck)
  • 20″ beadlock style wheels with BFG all-terrain tires (super sporty, the red was a ton of fun!)
  • A spray-in bedliner (to help keep items in the bed locked in place without slipping)
  • Predator pro running boards (to help shorter people or dogs jump into the truck easily)

Speaking of pups – my dog Riley LOVED the Tundra. We had the chance to take a mini-adventure to Morningside Nature Preserve, his favorite hiking spot. Here he is in total bliss in the truck bed after some exploring!

Campaign Kickoff – Cookout @ Ladybird

The best way to start an adventure campaign – a little cookout at one of my favorite outdoor-inspired restaurants in the city, Ladybird!

Our group got to learn more about Toyota, the campaign, and our partners for the event – Georgia State Parks and the Georgia Conservancy (who is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year!) Toyota is committed to excellence in their vehicles, but also to protecting the environment & promoting the exploration of the outdoors.

I loved this aspect of the campaign – Toyota was actually helping us to get outside and explore through their trucks!

Adventure Day @ Barnsley Resort

This was my absolute favorite part of the campaign – a day packed with adventure at the beautiful Barnsley Resort, located about an hour and 15 minutes from Atlanta.

During our adventure day, we got to see what the Tundras and Tacomas were capable of – we took them on a rough-and-tumble offroading course at Barnsley’s Springbank Plantation! I loved getting the chance to rough up the trucks a bit and see what they were really made of! Spoiler alert – they didn’t disappoint.

Following a beautiful picnic-style lunch, our group also participated in skeet-shooting & fly fishing to capture the spirit of the XSP package. Toyota is all about getting outside and choosing your adventure with your truck!

Throughout the day, a Toyota specialist was also on hand at Barnsley to walk us through the ins-and-outs of the XSP package and get up-close-and-personal with these amazing trucks! You can get a full overview of all of the specs of the package here:
